  • Precious Metals Wars - Attack of the Trading Bots - Again [View article]
BillyDGarrett, I wouldn't trash Ven if I were you... she knows so much more about many things, particularly PMs, than you do. Even if she writes in parables at times, there is meaning there, which you might understand if you hang around SA for more than a couple of weeks.

and ManABoutDallas, I am afraid you are so so right: the boyz at Treas and the Fed and their PPT and HFT can puncture the PMs anytime they wish. Gary Gensler is just a ridiculous puppet. Agree that the country needs to have it out to determine which way is the future of America. The sooner the better.

  • Markets Slide on Disappointing Jobs Data [View article]
one thing is very apparent to me.. this US economy isn't recovering and the unemployment situation is NOT going to get one whit better until we the voters, make a change in the administration come Nov 2012.

Mr Hopey Changey is either 1) clueless and does not know how to fix the hiring logjam or else 2) he knows what to do but is chosing DELIBERATLY to NOT FIX umployment for whatever marxist, cloward/piven agenda he is pursuing. Regardless which it is, America needs a change in leadership. I'll take whomever the Republicans put forward because ANYONE can do a better job than Obama.

Unemployment is the NUMBER ONE issue facing the US economy today.

  • Did the Silver Bubble Just Go 'Pop'? [View article]

candlesticks, patterns, dojis, hammers, black crows, harami cross', and-so-on.. are quite meaningless in the face of the strong FUNDAMENTALS being exhibited: manipulation, fear, greed, central banks, countries with 6000 years of history buying, hoarding gold

BTW, in candle charting, a doji has quite a low success rate among the complete pattern set. One shouldn't use it as a signal unless it has 5 or better yet, 7 day confirmations.

"If you are buying PMs as a trade, get out. But if you are long capital preservation, destruction of the dollar, you should be buying at any price."

    Not quite...

If you are buying PMs as a trade, get IN. AND if you are long capital preservation, destruction of the dollar, you should ALSO be buying at any price.

There.. I fixed it for you.

  • Did the Silver Bubble Just Go 'Pop'? [View article]
Not only did that last "kick-in-the-teeth" start during off hours, anyone who watches 24-hour gold charts regularly, sees that the metals are always sideways to up during Asian and London hours but are consistently slammed as soon as one of the NY markets takes over. So, so obvious.

But what warms the cockles of my heart is that Ben Bernanke and Jamie Dimon are getting more and more desperate, since the trend is pervasively against their game. BB is trying to sell all that paper and it's not going well at all. Me thinks more of his clients are starting to move away from paper for the hard stuff. Jamie OTOH, is trying to cover that massive silver short that JPM is albatrossed with yet the rebounds within 1-2 trading days is chasing him right back. The compressed action is hilarious.
Me thinks Jamie has called in alot of chits and he can't have much left. It's going to get even better as May plays out. Stay tuned (and long)

  • Richard Russell: A Gold Tsunami Is Coming [View article]
enjoying reading this piece as the feeling Russell senses about the tsunami resonates very well in my being.

the comments also both resonate and give pause: tsunami, yet correction beforehand; 6B peoples respecting gold. interesting

  • Parallels to the 1970s Suggest Further Dollar Weakening and Parabolic Move in Gold Ahead [View article]
I agree with freya.. it is a gimme

and so long as the Fed continues this reckless greedy policy of trying with all their might to induce hyperinflation so that the banks can pay off their obscene debts with deflated currency, and the common people be damned, then I will have the preponderance of my investable wealth in the metals.

  • The Dollar Holds On While Metals Shine [View article]
    Thanks Brian,

a good macro view of large economies, and currency pairs. But what caught my attention was the articles title: 'The Dollar Holds On While Metals Shine'. I agree about shiney gold, but what part of this dollar chart looks like "Holds On" to you? Every up day is matched by a larger down bar for the last month or so.

  • Not-So-Breaking News: Gold Price Being Manipulated [View article]
    Mr Kim,

    Thank you for this article.

One should always do his/her due-diligence before investing IN ANYTHING. Certainly, everyone who invests should understand precisely what "FRACTIONAL RESERVE BANKING" means. I expect when one understands it, they might be inclinded to agree with the "manipulation of Gold" thesis. Reading what folk like Eric Sprott or Warren Buffett says can be useful just as reading what Peter Schiff or Marc Faber have to say.

Here is a flashback to this same topic posted here over two years ago. 152 comments were posted following it.

Macallanlover said, "..And what percentage of the 8000 tons is actually on hand?"

Well, without a current audit of the Fed, it is a mystery, isn't it. I wonder if Ron Paul will ever be able to force the Fed to submit to audit?

IMHO, we probably have less than 1000T. Very likely that most of the 8000T, last counted in 1953, has been sold, loaned(*), or stolen by the criminal element pervading the banking industry.

(*) with little chance of ever seeing it again.

  • Economic Indicators Suggest 'New Deal' Recovery Needed to Employ the Jobless [View article]
    I agree 100% with econdoc....

Public education unions are the true cancer in America. It has taken years for the unions to eat away most of the progress in education from the previous 80-100 years. And it will take years to fix this mess.

The best news out there is that, Wisconsin is starting to come around. Now if only the rest of the states would grow a pair, and dump their democrat-controlled state legislatures, and the public unions.
