    We've learned this week why the bums on the Hill must be thrown out. The economy and market are just showing signs of life and the financial system has some good news to report, and the politicians use this brief respite from the relentless bear market as a chance to return to bashing bankers, Wall Street, and anyone who makes a profit in America.

    Fascinating set of figures. It renews my hope in "efficient" markets that there is recognition that not all the banks will go out of business despite attempts by the U.S. Congress to hasten their demise.
