Pandit sparked this rally by announcing that Citi has suddenly pulled a 180 and is doing fantastic (he forgot to mention that without billions and billions of taxpayer dollars they'd be in line at the unemployment office). Conveniently Citi execs loaded up on shares last week. Talk about talking up your book. Does anyone actually believe Citi is all of a sudden cured? I for one do not.
I agree. However, as a matter of principle I do try to prove my own beliefs wrong. So, I've been scouring the NYSE website looking for the rule that says the market must act as it did in the past. Haven't found anything yet.
