  • Should You Buy Prospect Capital Corporation? COO Grier Eliasek Gives Some Very Interesting Answers [View article]
Insiders are allowed to rip off stockholders as long as they properly disclose all the details of their scheme to stockholders under SEC guidelines. It is up to stockholders to weed out the crooks and avoid them. It is not up to the SEC.

They are looking to suck in additional financing from shareholders. They are just buying shares as window dressing as they seek more funds under management and thus additional fees. The LAST thing they want to do is own it all by taking it private.

  • Prospect Capital - The Rate Hike Jitters Are Overdone [View article]
Albert do you as a stockholder value this stock? Why? You probably make more on this article than you do from holding PSEC. If the share price goes down at a greater rate than the value of dividends received how is it worth holding? Many investors fear PSEC because they think the company is being looted by greedy pigs.
Shareholders need to boot the current management and install inside managers that are alligned with stockholders.

Stockholders are stuck in a bad contract with a greedy management company. A new external management company is needed or stockholders need to hire internal managers to replace current managers.

This author owns NO shares. Just a writer with no vested interest. He bought the kool aid the outside management team sold him. Remember these guys are not employees of the Company and the SEC is here to protect them and all their securities lawyers not the common stockholders..

Protected by the SEC but all their large fees paid for by the stockholders.

The rights offerings are a scheme that will bring more cash under management at the expense of stockholders. The big sucking sound you will hear is management trying to pull more dollars out of your pockets for their purpose of earning even larger management fees. They are giving you rights (I think they will be taxable also) that will allow you to give them more of your money to manage.

  • Don't Believe The Hype: TiVo Has Slim Chance Of Turnaround [View article]
It looks like Tom Rogers wants to go down with his ship. A smart captain would sell out to an even smarter bigger company so he could go out like a hero...but not Mr Rogers. For Rogers it is all or nothing. It may be he needs the job and after his well known failure at Tivo it would seem he is so unemployable that he needs to hang on to Tivo until his last breath.

I would disagree. Rogers ran TIVO into the ground and now it is becoming too late to save the company. He saddled TIVO with his personal golden parachute when he should have been searching for real management to bring TIVO into the future. Rogers is good at managing TIVO for his personal gain but he is a very weak at managing for the benefit of stockholders. The BOD should have replaced him years ago. Rogers has never done anything even close to stockholder friendly. Rogers has taken a company that was once a verb and he is determined to ride it into oblivion

  • American Realty Capital: In Case You Forgot About The Lingering Risks [View article]
Gregg I find writers who do not invest in the companies they cover to be almost useless, as they have no skin in the game and they write as a college student talks theory. You being long and still able to look at the risks as well as the potential is a benefit for your readers. I have decided to follow your writings here on SE. thanks
