The Death of Mortgage Banking and the Shadow Banking System

Retail banking is not going to make a come-back. All us folks are not likely to take our money out of mutual funds and put it into a bank account paying 2%. That is what happened to the old banking system and what initiated the SL crisis in 1980's.

Having Congress dictate lending practices is foolish beyond words.
