Either way, I see it as a natural cycle. As with any downturn, quality of healthcare deteriorates also. It is important to do the correct things rather than speculate on the doom and gloom scenario. I do agree that we should bring down some (not all) of the over populated banks.

Could not agree more. Change is hard sometimes, especially the first step. The problem so far is that the government has not shown any signs of making that change, and while the government is only part of the people, they need to step up and be a good example of what they are elected for. Regulation or deregulation, it is the people on board that dictates success or failure rather than the method used.

i agree with you mac, i just don't think the optimism is backed by real solutions to the problem. its like the big drama all over the world is all based on what happens in wall street. if tarp is now used for carmakers, what other industry does not deserve to be rescued?
