    iT IS HARD TO RELY ON "TRIED AND TRUE ' STRATEGIES ANY MORE .THAT GOES FOR SHORT INTEREST AND POTENTIAL FUTURE STOCK DEMAND .LOOK AT THE RECENT QUARTER EPS GUIDANCE AND ANALYST ESTIMATE FARCE . WITH ALL THE M&A ETC SHORT ARB FIGURES ARE HIDING ANY REAL SHORT ANALYSIS. I GUESS THE FIXED INCOME ARENA IS THE LAST REFUGE OF ANY PREDICTABILITY AND THATS A STRETCH .

    2nd qtr spin to make up for 1st qtr flat performance . When do the hedge/ inst feel it may be time to take the $ and go sideways? No rules say this qtr cant end early . worry --whats the encore ( we know how political the fed is now and the' red' ease rate button must be the focus for plungers ,politicians etc but market confidence will be badly damaged . Dont they get that we know the game! The charts reflect the hype for the first time . Usually in the past we could spot the noise on the charts ,but ,now they too have been affected. Write more --you see it too!!

    I keep a simple score re: what affects inflation and what affects consumer spending . So far my hats off to the big picture manipulations ,but new tricks are getting tougher to find . How will analysts and guidance figures hold any credibility after the 1st quarter head fake ? Your 15 points on balance seem to predict lower inflation ( rate cut ) and lower consumer spending ( rate cut ) . One point to add is that Pvt Equity seems to be facing a few bumps ( new money , harder terms etc ) so the daily "Lets Make A Deal " market buzz may diminish . Today is today and I see the rate cut background melody lifting . The big surprise will be when the reality of central banking impotence is understood . Viagra cant help this problem.
