  • Job gains of 175K beat forecasts; UE rate up to 6.7% [View news story]
    Land,

I have no idea and I'm not endorsing any particular position. I just think it's interesting how different media outlets spin things.

    It's all about the spin.

Headline from CNN: Economy added 175,000 jobs in February, more than the 150,000 experts had expected. Jobless rate rose slightly to 6.7% from 6.6%.

  • Are energy execs turning green? CERAWeek comments indicate they are [View news story]
    The pineapple analogy is laughable.

At one point last summer Germany has it's entire power load requirement taken up by renewable energy. How can that be a bad thing?

  • First Solar: Searching For Growth [View article]
Yawn. Another FSLR "where will the future business come from" article. This is a tired old story. As stated on the last conference call, FSLR has yet to "cash out" some of the high dollar larger projects like Desert Sunlight. They also have Silver State South and Stateline on books (see recent DOI release) which are also high dollar projects.

When all of the these large projects are completed FSLR should have a ton of cash on hand (>$2B) to make all types of moves. You do realize at current market values FSLR could purchase TSL and YGE with cash?

Long term how could you bet against FSLR with that type of pocketbook? Who knows what the future holds?
