Too bad we don't have Sweet Polly Pure Bred as an investor. Not hard to figure out who TG invited to play.

Jrp3, We'll talk after reality sets in. I'll give it this year.

BTW, Elon is a very very capable person. Obviously.

But alas, He's living off government stupidity, short term easily distracted rich people and dated engineering.

We'll watch together. I hope his aspiration for a "people's car" that's a pure EV becomes a reality in the next 10 years.

    LT, Understood.

John, I recall. EP would be wise to stay out of OE automotive as well. But their sister license company in Japan is looking and perhaps already supplies OE automotive with other battery types.

Doesn't matter though. Axion will have found its footing long before the UB is tested for automotive of it ever is. Jeez, don't we know it. But then I expected that with automotive. But sure didn't for a few units of rail.

John, It's a shame AONE didn't launch for one of the majors. They would not have allowed AONE to launch the new welder(s) without a far higher level of qualification. Fisker probably let them self certify. Thus your point about how cautious large automotive is. AONE, a good case study but not the first. Nor will it be the last.

LT, Be careful concerning how much weight you assign to the 100k mile success of the Ultrabattery (UB). It's a good achievement but it doesn't really prove the battery will be robust for the application. Many other variables need to be tested to assure that the battery will be robust enough for the full spectrum of duty cycle differences seen in an automotive fleet. For instance longer time sitting not being used. This is why Axion and BMW developed a new test for the PbC and SS apps. Because sitting at PSOC is hard on LAB's. The UB test in the ALABC announcement has pretty good mileage applied but it was done under a compressed time frame. What happens when it has 30k miles applied over 5-10 years for example.

An extreme case. My mother has a 2004 vehicle with 7,800 miles. I bet this would be harder on the UB than what was tested. But it's a variable in the tail of the population that probably needs to be covered?

Thanks for the input John. Hopefully soon on some form of engine agreement. Here's to hoping the big boys don't lock them out.

    John, OK Thanks.

A couple other questions if you don't mind. Obviously I understand where you can't "add color".

So why is ePower working with a 4 cylinder now? Is it expected they might offer 4 and 6 cylinder options based on customer requirements?

Is the existing generator rated high enough for the 6 cylinder or do they have to go larger?

Can you share when ePower is targeting integration of a 6 cylinder? Seems this would be the correct time to iron out the engine supplier. A wish on my part.

John, Anything you can share relative to when they might target transfer of the truck back to the owner so he can put it into service? I thought ePower had one additional truck that had the old LAB's still which should afford them an additional vehicle to work with.

Fair enough concerning the explanation component of my thought process. But it becomes public knowledge when the divorce papers go through. Makes it easier for family participation planning and potential partners.
