Whether AIG's worth it or not it's going up. Why not buy it and put a tight stop loss on it? Are you looking for the world's most perfect stock or do you want to make money bearing in mind some of these rules have been put aside for awhile? Why get in something right now with a great EPS and P/E and just watch it sit there?
From Today's Numbers, A Recovery Is Hard to See [View article]
This rally is not based on fundamentals, it based I think just on this is what happens at this point. They say the big money is not in yet and perhaps that's because what supposed to happen next is a huge fall. We'll see but why worry if you punch out quick and even less of you hit reverse? I see opportunity now either way unless you just sit and wait.
Just signed the OK for a reverse split of who knows how much and around 60 billion more shares in the picture. Soon this and the memory of what happened at AIG may be hanging over short sellers heads since it doesn't say when. Without the split, I'm sure day traders would have retired on it. We'll see what happens...soon I bet.

We switch our cars to NG and what few allies we have in the ME fall and here comes a dozen new nuts to deal with. But what would happen if we only switched half and then imported only from allies? Bearing in mind we just killed the oil demand for years. But right here we lovers of the blue flame now have to factor in a bill just introduced in Congress to ban fracking due to ground water concerns. It would cut down on supply and add to expense and the ones trying to hurt us might be nothing short of a Godsend.

I may just go with the Chinese for a few years..because unlike US, they're logical. They will actually end up with something due to their stimulus money. After that time maybe bring it back here because by then perhaps we'll stimulate own own economy further by realizing we should have. Here it rery no make sense to do mark-to-market then do stress-test. It make no sense to sanction Kim IL then give aid. Soon you see happen. Me rive in nation that play games..and no make sense.
OPEC is not increasing and Nigeria can't deliver. It's busy driving season after being cooped up too long and you got more money for gas since you didn't buy a new car. It's not just oil, it's light sweet crude that's running short. Buy what sells this..and unleaded gas.

Is it any worse than giving China carbon credits for hydro plants they were going to build anyway? Where's the worlds indignation there? OTOH what happens if they start putting some black liquor in diesel and burn it in trucks? Are primarily the Canadians and South Americans sure they are mad here? Finally a market for their pulp!

If I were a union member and looking at this administration, I would immediately go back to Madame Nhu's after we had? her husband assassinated.."With friends like this..who needs enemies?" Maybe the government will cough up some money..maybe it won't.

Unless we admit and realize that this current "event" just like 9-11 was an inside job ------------- Let me guess...also there was no holocaust, the Jews cause all the problems in the world, and we never walked on the moon. You guys get around don't you?

You go to Nissan USA, cars/minivan, 270Z touring w/sport package, click on colors and 360..turn it red. That's what I lost by selling MWE too soon and BBEP too late. Whatever the taxes would have been.
Bank of America Punishes Customers Who Dare to Have a Balance [View article]
Wouldn't be too hard to pay for a few percents rise in credit loses with some extra charges would it? So the post I just left that predicted gloom and doom because of them is null and void perhaps. What can I say here other than let the price alter the demand. If it's too expensive..find somewhere else. Someone will get the idea they can take their business away by charging less. Who are the biggest unmentioned losers in all this? Granny and Grandpa who live off interest. Good thing they grow their own garden.
Banks Are Not Reaching Bottom - Meredith Whitney [View article]
It's not the perfect bank I'm after, it's the ones whose stocks go up. She surely would have advised against C at .97 and BAC at 2.62 but if I'd put $50k in each of them then I would have $331,000 profit by after hours tonight. In OZRK, a perfect bank, I would have $50,000 profit from a $100k..which includes wow a $2.06 gain in after hours today..record profits this quarter! This looks like a week for banking both good and not perfect or listen to Meredith and forego the profits this week. In the long term she's probably right but in the long term problems are fixed also and C will no longer be a $4.00 bank stock.
The gov't already has veto over Citigroup's (C) executive pay; is pushing Citi to shake up the ranks; wants the bank to unload some of its businesses; and has Citi blowing kisses at its mortgage mod program - and more ownership can only mean more leverage. In this kind you still own the shares when the dust clears, in the other kind-they'rer deleted. On the question of dilution I don't know what effect that will have...they're very cheap right now. If we don't revert to cavemen you might really like them in a few years.
