When people complain to Eli Hoffman about the lack of quality in editorial oversight on SA, this article is the kind of nonsense they are talking about.

"3. Are more tax-efficient than funds"
^This is only true of ETFs, not ETNs. The tax code treats ETNs and ETFs very differently, which is another reason not to lump them together.

    Otherwise, good article.

  • Seeking Alpha fires a shot at Bloomberg, StreetAccount [View news story]
It works fine (IMO) on the alerts. The time and ticker still need to be much more prominent on the news scroll on the iPhone app. It should be a part of the headline (and probably bold).

I'll reiterate I could live with the bullets and headlines in Market Currents if the column were longer on the Home page.

Thank you for listening to suggestions.

Agree with comments to bring the tickers back.

Not crazy about the new format--too much formatting and white space. If you're going to keep it, at least make the Market Currents column longer. During busy times (like now during earnings season), half of the time I'm still reading a news item when it gets pushed off of the screen by the next item. With the old formatting, 3-4 items fit in the column at a time giving me more time to finish reading.

Feel bad complaining though, great site.
