The UAW has been nailing its coffin for years and it seems as the final nail is going in. Bailing out Big 3 is bailing out UAW and its anti-business practices. Will millions of workers and retirees get hurt? Of course. But, we, the taxpayers, shouldn't be funding their perks.

My mother used to work for a unionized grocery chain and had some fantastic benefits. As Sam's Club, Walmart, Target, Walgreen's, etc. and other non-union companies got into the market, the union realized they needed to help themselves so they agreed to tiered pay scales. New workers got less pay and benefits. This happened a few times in the last 20 years. The UAW had better learn to eat crow.]]>
