  • Why Can't the Dow Join the Party? [View article]
We are still in a bad economy and a bear market. Don't get too optimistic when there is a bear market rally; it is soon followed by a sharp drop in prices.

With the recession hanging around for at least another 6 months, there is bound to be at least one more big low to be hit. It doesn't necessarily need to be lower than the past low in November '08, but we are going to get hit pretty badly at least one more time.

I am optimistic, however, for Q4 2009 and the beginning of 2010. We are going to see a whole new force driving the economy.

  • Financial Meltdown: Good Luck, Bad Luck, Who Knows? [View article]
This is very true; opportunity is among us.

It is strange how fast investors forget about the last big screw-up. It hasn't even been 20 years since the Savings and Loans Crisis, and once again these banking entities are in trouble.

  • Stock Market Rally: Is This It? [View article]
    I love the Bernanke cartoon!

So 0% interest rates will save us? That did Japan a lot of good for the past decade. Japan has been in a recessionary economy since the 1980s, but they had low interest rates. Can the Fed not see that it doesn't work so easily?

This stock market is completely a trader's market. Moves are greatly exaggerated and almost random at times.

One thing is for sure, we are not out of this recession. We have more bad news and trouble ahead. If you can stomach one more year of this type of craziness while picking up some highly undervalued stocks, you're going to do well in the long-term. Otherwise, trade and trade lightly.

  • Is It Time to Buy? What History Shows [View article]
Things will get worse before they get better in the U.S. One thing we can be sure of is that even though prices may have not hit rock bottom yet, it's almost impossible to time the market perfectly.

There are TONS of Undervalued stocks out there waiting. Start to pick at them now because the market tends to rocket up quickly at the beginning of a recovery. You could miss these low prices.

I have posted a series of Value Investing articles on my site that guide investors to picking undervalued stocks. Buy within the next few months, or you could miss the train.
