  • To Handsomely Beat The Market, Buy Petroamerica Oil With Both Hands [View article]
    General question to the investors on this thread: is there an RSS feed, a news outlet or an E&O newsletter that has interim, accurate reports on things such as the field / operations info that's in this PTA notice? Though I don't see this report as a longer term concern, the news blindsided me. I understand that I am personally responsible for the DD but any insights into ways to get closer to the source of the information is appreciated. Gracias, thank you, prego and bedankt.

    For $TNXP, the risk / reward continuum moves strongly toward reward. Why?

    1) FDA disease management prioritization for Fibromyialgia (FM);

    2) Significant use options in the pipeline beyond specific testing to date:

    3) Novel approach to existing, proven medications vs. proven approaches with novel additives or genetic discoveries;

    4) Experienced team of medical professionals who understand financial markets;

    5) Public desire for quality of life improvements for non-terminal conditions (FM, PTSD, TTH).

    Still, this is research; this is biopharm; this is a capital market equity. Risk, in sector, in timing, in results each present their challenge to an investor. Nothing new except...

    This is a very good prospect with a very good team doing very good work. Very strong possibilities to turn the possibility into probability. Worth the risk, I believe.

  • Tonix Approaching 100 Days Until BESTFIT Results [View article]
    I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer but something seems amiss with your quote ("...to be filed in March 2013"). FYI: this is a quote from 2012, presenting information that is at least one year old. http://yhoo.it/1wCRBBF.

    Also, on August 9, 2013, TNXP started trading on NASDAQ and has had subsequent exchange uplistings. The quote you present anticipates a listing rather than acknowledging it. Did someone lead you to believe that all these things would be taking place in the next few months?

    BESTFIT is 2b.

  • Tonix Approaching 100 Days Until BESTFIT Results [View article]
    It seems likely that this is, as mentioned in the article above, TNXP's follow-on 12 week study to improve, augment and/or adjust labeling options. Because the company believes it has found a marketable product, the study website seems to make the assumption that results will be declared positive, allowing the last study to be completed immediately (I am including Joe's two paragraphs referencing this). By inference to an estimated 12/14 completion date of the next study, investors should then be on the lookout in the next two weeks for results to made public.

    Joe's information from his article above: "With success in BESTFIT, Tonix will run the final 12-week trial which should be nearly identical to BESTFIT, but could also contain small tweaks to build on the results of BESTFIT.

    We saw that the 2a trial showed statistically significant improvement in tenderness and depression in addition to pain, and while this will have no impact on approval, it could mean more favorable language on TNX-102 SL's label."

    Thank you Huba. This goes beyond the typical "on the ground" comments made by observers to replying from "being in the mix". Perspective based on the context of the culture adds much beyond the metrics of investing. I appreciate that you added yours here.

  • 10 Things To Know About Tonix Pharmaceuticals [View article]
    With apologies to someone as knowledgeable as Joe about TNXP, I have had enough scrapes and bruises (and a few successes) as a small business person to throw out an idea or two on this.

    TNXP is not merely a BESTFIT company; it is a pain solutions development company. The combination of products, either independently developed or collaborated on with other partner organizations, positions the company to affect the well-being of (at least) several distinct populations asking for better choices to address their ailments. Windows of opportunity are couched in time, efficacy, competition and relevance. TNXP is on the road to multiple protected products (patents), any of which have other R&D organizations vying for similar audiences. To stage these is important; to stage them sequentially because of financing is short-sighted. Too many businesses lose their advantage by avoiding capital markets or by seeing financial markets change the criteria along the way.

    As a shareholder, I would love to be one of ten (one of my successes has been just that). However, if the ability to compress product development in order to address markets sooner presents itself, a Board of Directors has an obligation to make a decision whether that approach results in greater good for greater numbers (of patients and of shareholders). I see this as an instance where the BOD took advantage of favorable financial markets to progress at their pace rather than the pace set by interest rates or other third parties.

    After some thought, this makes me more confident of results and of future products. Because it's not a desperation move, this can compress product development timelines, allow simultaneous trials, create stand-alone strength and invite institutional buy-in at early reasonable valuation, creating more demand. I think this is a shrewd move to establish strength rather than a move to hedge bets on whether BigPharma will want "in". Why? Because the market for the products is so large. Think 'Blue Ocean' strategies.

  • Is EOG Resources A Good Investment? [View article]
    Has there been any hint of an increase in the dividend? Given the EV, market cap and likelihood of sustained earnings, the current one is quite paltry. The increase in the SP over the past year makes dividends an almost moot point for me but it's something that interests me in the current market environment.

  • Windstream Needs To Revise Dividend Strategy As Company Remains Overvalued [View article]
    Davephd: I agree with your buy-out assessment but not because of stock price. The company I own deals in similar infrastructures as $WIN (fiber optics, datacenter connectivity, security). My observation of the industry is that there's significant interest in gaining subs by acquisition rather than by build-out. With Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Comcast slugging out the consumer market, they understand that the underlying SMB values are still not addressed well from their enterprise perches. In my opinion, the build versus buy decisions will fall to the side of the buy. $WIN is positioned perfectly to fit into this scenario. I hold this stock for this reason alone.
