Are you guys serious??? What is the difference between this proposed "stockholder financing" or "stockholder debt" and issuing new shares?? Either way the current investors can pony up more money that would go directly into sirius. Doesn't matter what you call it it's the same concept. Actually issuing new shares would be better than some debt scheme. Debt would give sirius cash, but they would have to make monthly/quarterly/annu... payments on that debt. Issuing shares would just give them cash to use, no requirement to pay it back ever if they want.
And reverse splits are not necessarily negative as i see people saying all the time. There is no dilution no change in value, no material effect on the company. The only bad thing is that some investors see it as a bad "sign". Well we already know Siri is in trouble, so that's not a concern, just do the reverse split, issue shares to take care of the debt and move on. But keep your fingers crossed beacuse things aren't looking good!!
Hey bobbo, great post there. However GE isn't an old school company, they do business in so many fields of the future it's not funny. Talk about developing nations they are there, talk about alternative fuels they are there, and probably one of the most important that hasn't been realized yet..................w... and water purification, that's right GE. If there is a more solid company (not to mention financial company) out there i'd love to see it. GM may be on the outs, but GE will be here long after you and I.
