Our Coming Depression

We need someone like Andrew Jackson today to fight the money powers. Otherwise the situation will only continue to get worse. Throughout history, systems based on fractional reserve banking and fiat currency have failed without exception, leading to hardship and chaos. I don't see our current situation as an exception, and the sheer size of our economy and financial system could make it all the more painful.

Did JPMorgan Almost Fail?

I'm reading <i>The Creature From Jekyll Island</i> right now, and it blows my mind what these "political and monetary scientists" have been able to get away with. Most people don't understand how the monetary system works, and how it benefits the people at the top, like JP Morgan in his time, while it increases the indebtedness of everyone else and devalues what little money they have. Truly a swindle of epic proportions.

Deflation Changes the Rules

Interesting idea. I definitely think many things in this country are going to change, and some of the old rules will no longer apply, and can actually extend the carnage. Let's just hope the US taxpayer has the ability to hold this house of cards up. It's not fair, but things will get very interesting if we cannot.
