Agree with Jeff above - I held SRS from 120 to 60 earlier this month. Good thing it was only 1 share! I might have been able to break even if I'd held longer, but that thing is a big, broken question mark - I decided to cut my losses and learn from my mistake.
I'll now consider buying puts on IYR next time I look to short RE.
I agree with ashizashiz above - living within your means on a personal/familial/loca... scale is the only way out of this mess. While we don't necessarily have to cut up our credit cards or pour sugar down our gas tanks to emancipate ourselves from spending, it might be worth asking the question of whether these things truly add value and meaning to our lives.
Fear is not a strategy, but caution and patience are. I'm going to be closely monitoring the action of the market before I go long on anything. Cheap can get a lot cheaper!

Let me be the first to offer my condolences on your long position in RPRX. The CEO, Podolski, looks to be up to the same garbage as he was in the 90s:
www.fool.com/dtrouble/...
www.houstonpress.com/1.../
If SeekingAlpha mangles those URLs, as it likes to do, then just google "Podolski Zonagen" and "Podolski bad science" for the articles.
Good luck - hope you got out recently, or choose to soon.
Disclosure: short on RPRX and other bad companies.

It is November 2008, and Jason was very, very right! SRS and SKF are both currently up over 100% from when he wrote this.
That's "prescient" enough for me. ;)
