  • Why Apple Will Repeat History And Plunge Into The Abyss: Time To Call It Quits [View article]
Besides all this, Steve Job wasn't sitting around staring in the abyss while his health deteriorated. He left behind a pipeline of new products that will change our world as we know it. Think iPod...Some people have short memories coupled with a negative attitude. Bah! Humbug!

  • Apple: Innovative Future Products Following Detroit's Lead? [View article]
If it controls robotic menial labor, then that will be the end of China becoming wealthier off America's laziness to produce products that we need.
Every darn label on anything you buy is "made in China."

Actually, LiveScribe is exactly what you are talking about. A pen that records your notes as you write on a LiveScribe notebook. Then transfers it all to your computer.
I love it... I am constantly making notes and without LiveScribe I'd be lost. I just cannot imagine using a regular notebook only to then have to type it all onto a computer.
Certainly Apple has been aware of LiveScribe ever since it was launched a number of years ago.
Only thing I don't like is that the pen is a bit too thick for my small hands, but I am very happy with my computerized pen.
Have a nice Memorial Day weekend everyone.

  • Apple Earnings Preview: Guidance Achievable, Tim Cook Aims To Beat Expectations [View article]
Do I have time to wait a few more years for Apple's share price to rise to the level it did before it's downward spiral!! I have been diagnosed with very early onset Alzheimers (this is not a joke). How many years will it take for Apple's stock to rise considerably? Just before Steve Jobs died, he said that he had an epiphany for something that would change the entire world. I wonder when we will see it.
Thanks for all the interesting discussions.

  • Production of a cheaper iPhone will likely start in June, says Jefferies' Peter Misek in an afternoon note that's helping Apple (AAPL +0.7%) outperform. Foxconn and Jabil (JBL) are expected to provide plastic cases. Misek and other sell-side analysts have already predicted a less costly iPhone will arrive this year, though some claim its case will use a composite rather than plastic. Meanwhile, Apple received top marks in J.D. Power's U.S. smartphone satisfaction study for the 9th straight time - its score of 855 is slightly above a prior 849, and well above an average of 796. [View news story]
There are thousands of people who would welcome a less expensive iPhone from Apple. Apart from that, Apple is working tirelessly on all that Steve Jobs left on his "to do" list. Apple has always surprised and stunned us and it will continue through the pipeline of products waiting.

Don't those analysts just love to lift up only to pull down. It's human nature. Everyone loves a winner. They all know nothing. They're all clueless sheep. As for hedge funds, those are the most dangerous of all thugs.
One can only imagine what is in the Apple pipeline for the future. Steve Jobs certainly didn't lie on his bed looking at the ceiling during his illness.
So, I say to all the naysayers. you will eat your words.

  • I'd Pay $400 For 'This Apple' [View article]
Something huge is coming. Let's remember that Steve Jobs, as ill as he was, continued to work on new projects from his bed. The pipeline is filled and when each new product comes through it will shock the bejeebees out of all the naysayers. Just wait and see.
Human nature loves to see a star falter. Apple is as bright as ever. Don't underestimate this company.

  • "The king is dead, long live the king," Doug Kass declares on CNBC (video) following Apple's (AAPL -12.3%) FQ1 report. Kass, no stranger to criticizing Apple, foresees "a new normal" of slow growth and lower multiples. Sell-side loyalists are counting on some mixture of new iPhones, a retina iPad Mini, carrier partnerships, and an iTV to reignite growth. Canaccord: “The timing of new products that could excite the market is going to be key to whether the stock continues to go down." (more) (transcript[View news story]

As my late Mom would have said: "He (Kass) talks a lot of bloody rubbish.." And when questioned he stumbles and bumbles.
