  • 3 'Wonderful Dividend Stocks at a Fair Price' [View article]
I think T is the best dividend stocks out there. I don't see it mentioned too much, but the daily volume is huge. I play T over and over swing trading and dividend capture. It has treated me well. I dont want it to get too much hype since it is fair priced. Hopefully it will stay "hidden" and not get overbought like the rest of the market. It was up .68 on 9/17 and the yield is around 6.5.

  • How Low Can Natural Gas Prices Go? [View article]
Playing the drilling and exploration companies is risky. If nat gas does not rebound, and with mild winters and low demand, it looks like it won't. Companies like CHK are saddled with high debt. The lower nat goes goes and stays, the more likely these companies will go bankrupt. They simply can't operate with these low prices.

Everyones betting the farm on Nattie going higher; it may bottom, stay flat for years to come. Especially with global warming, mild winters and seemingly calm tropics, and lower industrial demand. A lot of drilling and exploration companies may fold . CHK bankrupt?

  • Friday Wrap: This Market's Running on Empty [View article]
Regarding SDS and the "inverse" etf's...I got caught up last year buying into UYG , the pro "up" financials. I started a position at 20, kept buying in, got heavier as it went lower. Really "gunned" it when it hit around 8 thinking surely that was the bottom in financials." Wrong," it went below 3, I got out on a bounce at 3.12. Even now its below 6. It will never get to 20 again. These products are nothing but financial suicide! Stay away! I lost enough to buy a fairly nice vehicle, and Lord knows I need one now.If you want to gamble, might as well go to Vegas...and at least enjoy some pretty women on the way down.

  • Today in Commodities: Liquidity Squeeze [View article]
I've been averaging into ETN (COW), the livestock fund. Anybody have any opinions on this? From what I can tell, by examining the CME charts, it doesn't seem to accurately follow the the daily moves in livestock futures. Also, the daily volume is pitifully low. Any input is helpful. Are there other ways to play livestock?

I'm with you! Nothing has made sense so far, volume has been nil. I'm just hoping this thing gets pushed down in Sept. and Oct. just like everyone's predicting. Then , maybe we can get on a little firmer footing.

  • Global Markets Weekly Trading Preview: Does This Rally Have Legs?  [View article]
As always (and this never changes) mom and pop Americans are going to get destroyed in what sure to be a nice big market correction back to the 750 level on the S & P sometime later this year or early next year. I personally will once again buy as they sell

Thats right...it's always that way. These folks getting in here at the top are going to get crushed. The market is saying. "the water is lovely, come on in and enjoy, take a swim. Bam! They're gonna get their head taken off by a shark.

  • Are You Buying This Rally? [View article]
Tread carefully in this market and if you feel like you missed the run, do not worry you will get a better price in the near future.

Thanks for the encouraging words...I need it right now

  • Noticed the Oil Backup? [View article]
What concerns me is the fact oil is at 68 now. The supply is huge, demand is down, and the economy has not yet rebounded. To me if its at 68 now, if and when the economy does rebound or even shows signs of a meaningful recovery, oil will skyrocket to 200 plus.

  • Fundamentals Don't Support Oil at $55-60 a Barrel [View article]
If oil gets hammered in the next few months, does that paint a likely scenario that equites will follow? I think the run up in stocks was way too fast and I'm waiting on a correction. Maybe this will set it up.

  • TBS International: Best Way to Play Dry Shippers [View article]
I absolutely would not buy any shippers at these levels. I think the overall market wil see a slight correction after the big run-up, and these stocks will sell-off as rapidly as they went up. Anything that can go up 10-20 % in one day will move down just as quickly.

  • The Rally, When It Comes, Will Be a Doozy [View article]
I hate to be negative..., but things usually turn out exactly opposite of what we expect. What if we dont get a snapback rally. Everybody is expecting it;it may not materialize.

  • How Much Downside Could Still Exist? [View article]
Just about when everyone thinks the "all clear" is here and everyone gets back in, thats wnen the bottom will drop out and that will mark the true bottom. Then the market will probably remain flat for some time. I have personally just about given up on stocks. I believe if one has any money left now, they should hang on to it. I've lost a bundle allready. Enough is enough!

  • The Case for Natural Gas [View article]
I bought UNG at 33, back in early fall, because I was so sure with winter coming on and demand would rise, that it too would rise. I sold it at 29 and glad i did. Its now 19. With winter winding down and industrial demand down, I don't see nat gas breaking 5 bucks any time this year.
