very good article, thank you. as an APPL stock holder, i'm delighted to see Apple with so much cash, but also happy that they continue to pump a lot of $ into R & D. That figure is important in tech stocks. A company that isn't innovating, won't make it. And a company that has a lot of cash on hand, has a big advantage...they can experiment and toss the losers. If they do this well, they'll win. Microsoft hasn't done this very well for quite awhile. They pumped so much money into Vista development, for YEARS, and then marketing. You have to wonder about a company that is so attached to it's mistakes. It's not that they don't have a cash cushion (huge), but if this behavior is par for the course and repeated again, it could spell big trouble for the stock.

while the tech expos are always enjoyable, having to time your product line to the date of one is not. january... what a dumb idea. but at this point, Apple doesn't need that kind of format anymore even if the date was better. One nice thing..we got to see more of the other stars at Apple and that was good. It's time people realize that Apple is huge and LOTS of talent.
