Wall Street is too obsessed with Google's near term earnings. What seems to be ignored is that the Internet is growing incredibly fast and that the leader of the Internet is Google. As more people turn to the Internet instead of the phone book, Google will rake in more cash.
Additionally, Google's technology is superior and they can use this to expand into other markets such as mobile, mp3, etc. The sky is the limit.

However, I don't see the click thru rates being anywhere near traditional search ads because people are looking for a video, not a product or information. I think ads on YouTube would be similar to Google's content network. A good source of revenue, just not as good as traditional search.
I just picked up Google at about $325 on Friday. So many investors are worried about the near term instead of Google's long term earning potential. For many, Google is the starting point to the Internet. As they expand into other areas and find effective monetization methods their earnings will skyrocket.
