We can not use averages to spread out the manufacturing power. I think the 20/80 rule applies also in the manufacturing power.
"20/80" is the rule that a company's star samesmen(usually about 20% of the staff) produces 80% of the company's sales; while the other 80% of the salesmen produces 20% of the company's sales.
If you say that 5% of the population manufactures 20% of the worlds total goods, it seems the rule of 20/80 applies here.
What worries me is that USA consumes almost 30% of the worlds total goods produced. We have to trim down our spendings.
