Borders: Interview with CEO George Jones

I work for Borders for ten years in the New Orleans area. I was the Dave Carpenter winner in 2006, this a an award for outstanding customer service. I won for thre whole company we got a new GM and I was fired because i knew to much. We lost hunderds of customer because we started having people that didn't have a clue. When you have customers come in an ask for a dr seuss book and the manager sents them to medical ref. it not good. also having murders sign cd in the kids section when their under house arrest is not good cumunity relations. If their planning to go to St charles ave they haven't not even address the facts of know the customer in that area. when i said they should put up a billboard to advertise the opening they used it agaist me. Borders has treated the musicians of the city badly. Mr Jones has a condo in new orleans put it seems he doesn't want to listen to anyone who grew up hear. The store in metaire at one time always made sales plan i sure it only made it a few times in the past year. One customer asked for a book and the employee said it over there somewhere i don't really read. If mr Jones believe we our selling knowledge he should check out how this store has gone down hill. It will not be easy to get people to come into st Charles when you have people who don't even know our care about the city. New orleans is not like any other town and especialy st charles ave.
