  • GDP Growth: Step One on a Long Road Back to Recovery [View article]
No disrespect, but you better go back and check your numbers.

Download the latest spreadsheet from the BEA.
Using historical data from 98 or so, add the latest quarters data from table 3A to the spreadsheet you created and chart it.

Or you can go to keepamericaatwork.com/... and download the spreadsheet with the chart in it and double check the numbers yourself.

Come on guys, ya'll deal with quarterly and annual numbers every day when researching stocks for your investment portfolio

If you want to compare apples to apples and get a true picture, you need to do as I have done in this spreadsheet and compare the data on an annual basis.

Then you will see a totally different picture

  • 10 Predictions for the Global Economy [View article]
Lets look at a different theory.
Lets assume that all of these problems are self inflicted by putting the American consumer out of work.

The following is an article I wrote yesterday at www.KeepAmericaAtWork.... titled "Worried ?"

I'm so sick of all of these so called experts.

You write them and write them and they ignore you because they don't think you're correct.

Yet they are continuously proven wrong time after time.

I don't even have the time to be researching this because I need to be worrying about paying my telephone bill today somehow so that I will have internet access tomorrow.

But if I don't write about it and tell it the way it is, who else will step up to the plate because this story has to be told.

Because sooner or later, somebody that is in a position to make some changes is going to realize that what we talk about here is correct and that their armies of "Yes" men and women are just doing what they get paid for and saying "yes" whenever the decision maker asks them if its right.

So lets disect this global economic crisis because they sure as hell arent doing it.

The Countries that are suffering the most are:

    Canada
    China
    Mexico
    Japan
    Germany
    United Kingdom
    Saudi Arabia
    Venezuela
    South Korea
    France
    Nigeria
    Taiwan
    Malaysia
    Brazil
Well, what do you know ?

According to this link here, those are the top 15 countries that America buys things from.

    www.census.gov/foreign...

    So according to my theory.

If we ship all of our jobs offshore, we receive the following benefits

Our town's, counties, states and federal budgets are devastated
Our retailers, manufacturers and raw material producers are devastated
The countries that rely on us to buy their goods are devastated
So you see, the American consumer, who apparently accounts for far more then 70% of the World's purchases are the vital link in this economic chain.

You put us out of work so that we're not making any money or making substantially less money then what it costs to have an excess to buy the things we want with and we quit buying and the whole World's economic train comes to a halt.

Put us back to work at full pay and watch it pick up steam again.

It really is that simple and why our political and corporate leaders can't see this is beyond me.

Perhaps they don't want too because it will affect their pocket books.

If that is the case, vote them out of office, because your one vote does make a difference.

  • A Long and Painful Consumer Slowdown - Barron's Interview [View article]
Here is something that really gets me wound up.

All of our experts will state that this is happening or that is happening and they will produce all kinds of statistics to justify their so called facts.

But if an alternative view is proposed, they will ignore it.

Our economy is in a world of hurt because our political and corporate leaders are sending our jobs offshore and this is affecting the global economy because most of these nations either rely on the purchases that the American consumer makes or they too are sending their jobs offshore which is transferring the wealth from democratic nations to non democratic nations which is very bad, but that is another subject.

Why won't these experts humor me and use their media colleagues to actually get some hard data so that we can make the right decisions when steering this ship ?

And nope, I don't want some meaningless poll where you surveyed less then 1,000 people and we're supposed to take that as gospel.

I want a web site set up where every working age person in America is required to answer the following questions and to update them when changes are made and this is possible because the technology exists now.

    I want these questions answered.

    1. Has your job been offshored ?
    A. If so, are you making more money ?
    B. If so, are you making less money ?
    C. If so, are you making the same money ?

    2. Are you currently employed or self employed ?
    A. If so, are you making more money then you did at your previous job ?
    B. If so, are you making less money then you did at your previous job ?
    C. If so, are you making the same money that you did at your previous job ?

    3. Are you currently unemployed ?
    A. If so, for less then 1 month ?
    B. If so, for less then 3 months and more then 1 month ?
    C. if so, for less then 6 months, but more then 3 months ?
    D. If so, for less then 1 year, but more then 6 months ?
    E. If so, for more then 1 year ?

These are not all of the questions that we need answered, but they will give us an accurate employment/unemploymen... numbers and they will give us an answer to the lie that the people whose jobs are offshored are finding similar or better paying jobs.

We NEED this information to plot our strategy and I'm amazed that none of our political leaders, especially the dept of labor are stepping up to the plate to get this information.

  • Bad News Coming in Bunches, With No Let-Up in Sight [View article]
The media tells us that unemployment is about 8 percent

Eight percent of 200 million is 16 million.

The whisper number that includes the people not counted or those that have given up is about 13 percent

Thirteen percent of 200 million is 23 million.

I think that unemployment is about 20 percent.

Twenty percent of 200 million is 40 million.

Now lets put that into dollars and how it affects America and how it Affects our retailers, manufacturers and raw material producers

Using an average salary of 50,000 dollars

16 million people out of work would take 800 BILLION out of the economy, of which 240 BILLION would be taken from your town, your county, your state and your countrys budget and 560 BILLION would be taken from our retailers, manufacturers and raw material producers

23 million people out of work would take 1 TRILLION 150 BILLION out of the economy, of which 345 BILLION would be taken from your town, your county, your state and your countries budget and 805 BILLION would be taken from our retailers, manufacturers and raw material producers.

40 million people out of work would take 2 TRILLION out of the economy, of which 600 BILLION would be taken from your town, your county, your state and your countries budget and 1 TRILLION 400 BILLION would be taken from our retailers, manufacturers and raw material producers.

Now do you see why GM is having a tough time making ends meet ?

And no amount of bailouts are going to solve the problem.

    It will take jobs.

It will take our political and corporate leaders waking up and realizing that their insistence on sending our jobs overseas is destroying the whole world's economy.

Why the whole World's economy ?

Because American consumers are the biggest spenders in the World and they want things and as long as they have money, they will buy these things.

A lot of them are made in other countries.

So when the American consumer has to stop buying because they no longer make what they used too, the trickle down effect, affects the whole World.

Right now, our experts and our political and corporate leaders are in denial.

They say that what is good for them is good for America.

We need to work together to get them to see what they are doing to America and the rest of the World.

If we can't do that, we need to use our vote and get somebody in there that will put their town, county, state and country first.

  • Auto Bailouts, Mortgage Debt and the Economy  [View article]
I wrote two articles this morning titled "Wake up and smell the roses" and "Treason" that directly address the issue of why bailouts will not work and why the job losses are going to get worse.

Please read those articles and help put America back to work so that our retailers, manufacturers and raw material producers will be able to stay in business and put American's back to work in America.

  • Manhattan Mansions Fall from the Sky - Barron's [View article]
    This is so sad.
To think that all of our communities, counties, states and even our federal government are losing everything so that the people on my "Wall of Shame" at www.KeepAmericaAtWork.... could enhance their bottom line while forsaking the things that made us great which are our families and friends in our communities, counties, states and country.

If you know of any more of these people that are sending their work offshore, I would like to add them to the "Wall of Shame" so that all of the people that are being ruined will understand who is directly responsible for this Global Financial Crisis.

What is really sad is that in their short sightedness to enhance the bottom line, a good many that are now losing their jobs and homes were the ones that originally advocated moving our jobs offshore so that our companies would make more money.

  • Jim Rogers on Today's Market [View article]
You know, I like and admire Jim Rogers, but he's totally off base this time.

I suggest that he read the "Global Economy" and "Your wages do matter" at www.KeepAmericaAtWork.... and it wouldnt hurt to read the definition page either.

I am not a protectionist as I believe in free trade, but the massive transfer of our wealth from democratic nations to non-democratic nations is suicidal and I'm going to do my part to stop it.

  • Cramer's Mad Money - AIG, Show Me the Money (11/20/08) [View article]
Let me show you an economic stimulus program that will save all of our retailers, manufacturers and raw material producers, not to mention the American Consumer and it will work because it goes where it is needed, not to bolster credit limits that people without jobs can't use.

article follows and its posted at www.KeepAmericaAtWork....

I've listened to our experts talk about stimulating the economy.

I've watched them piss away 700 BILLION dollars and accomplish nothing except pay bonuses for those that don't need nor deserve bonuses.

I've listened to all of their crap that didnt amount to squat and still I see all of us hurting.

So I have decided to propose an economic stimulus plan that will work and it is very simple and I want you to tell me and your state and federal representatives what you think about it, because if we're silent, we're out of sight and out of mind when it comes to our representatives.

Here it is and its very simple.... !

    Are you ready ???

I want to put 10 % of America back to work which is 20 MILLION people and I'm going to pay them 50,000.00 per year.

Let's see, our government asked for 700 BILLION

I'm asking for 300 BILLION more.

Their stimulus plan did NOTHING for the economy.

Mine will put 300 BILLION back into the treasury AND

It will put 700 BILLION into the economy

    Damn, Imagine that

They ask for 700 BILLION and deliver NOTHING

I ask for 1 TRILLION and put 300 BILLION into the treasury and 700 BILLION into the economy.

Wow, Maybe I should be running for office because I've sure lost my confidence in our Political and Corporate Leaders

  • Will Unemployment Reach 8%? [View article]
Unemployment is already well beyond 8 %

I can't prove it yet, but I'm working on it.

The more people that write me, the more that I'm convinced we're up in the mid teens and closing on 20%.
