  • No Christmas for eBay Sellers  [View article]
We've sold on ebay for over 10 years and were silver power sellers, We are winding down our ebay business and once our current stock of merchandise is gone, we won't be listing on ebay anymore. We have approx. 100 items up for sale right now, down from over 5,000. We've seen all the changes that have basically brought ebay's downfall. They took a shining star, and drove it into the ground with their greed for more profits. Through the years, the sellers kept protesting, and ebay kept telling us to shut up, we don't know anything, the all powerful ebay knows it all. Well....apparently they don't know it all. In some way, I'm gleaning a bit of glee watching them faulter around trying to fix things. It's too late for them, The best they can hope for now is to slice ebay up into pieces and sell it off. Maybe someone will come along and buy up auctions and make ebay back into what it once was. There is one site that we've been looking at called bonanzle. It started a few months ago, and caters to vintage goods and collectibles (The way ebay did in its beginnings). I'm wondering if this will be the next rising star to take ebays place. There has to be some place to take ebay' spot.
