The Chinese Have Joined In, Now What About India?

Well I dont know about a stimulus package. But why must we follow the Chinese into the hellhole. I mean India can do this on its own - look at the loan waiver package and the 6th pay commission. Isnt this Stimulii enough! Lets not kid ourselves, India wont have a stimulus package of any size. As for Kamal Nath - he needs to just resign - just a talking head with no self-respect.

India needs to spend atleast half of what China has spent on building its infrastructure....now if only India could get a saviour to do this. Dont expect anything from this Government.

Where Have All the Peak Oil Believers Gone?

Think about population stagnation. Think about driving smaller cars or even motor-bikes to work especially sincere there are a quite a few which can do 125Kms a litre of Petrol. Thats 100miles+ to a gallon. USA should become a two-wheeler economy and get rid of the SUV's for good unless there is a large family at the back. Cut down on everything - cook at home and eat out less. Time to conserve so that we can save. Get rid of the Universal healthcare nonsense....its time to let life expectancy come down by a decade or so.

Sun: No Guidance, No Restructuring, No Turnaround

Sun looks cheap as a stock and Dell stock has crashed in the past few weeks. Dell is having challenges to growth therefore adding Channel and productlines like EqualLogic - a great fit. Maybe its time Dell and Sun came together to make best of their synergies. So Dell can build good quality, reasonable cost commodity hardware and add the strength of its economies to Sun's productline and Sun can become less pretentious and self-absorbed and add its Software strengths and services skills to Dell's commodity outlook.

I have couple of name suggestions....ahem here goes.
How about a SunDell or DellSun? Or just Sull Microsystems, Sell Microsystems, Dun Inc. or something like that. Just a sad play of words. But a great combination should these two actually come together. Now if we get the Shareholders of both these companies to get off their butts .... we could have something.

Sun Gets Riskier - Analysts

In my view its time for some consolidation on the server side of things. Sun has been looking like a cheap stock for sometime now. When Sun hit $4 in 2003, I wonder why a company like Dell which needed credibility on high end data centre and Enterprise space (then) did not swoop in and purchase Sun. Perhaps this is a combination worth doing...even now. It will help both companies grow together, and whats more Dell's supply chain can help. Sun's software focus and strong platform delivery will help Dell. Added to that package is Sun's StorageTek division. Its a steal at any price below $10. I wonder when Micheal Dell take notice. I am sure Sun will not like it....but with more money and size to go around and protection of their culture assured, I am sure the deal can be done.

I wonder who will take the first step.

Why Oil and Gold Are Headed Much Higher

This whole article seems counter-intuitive. There is a global recession coming. The largest consumer of Hydrocarbons in the World i.e USA, is going to have a significant long drawn recession and readjustment period - stimulii aside. China ain't growing as much as it did before the Olympics. India has already slowed down due to its trigger-finger (former) Gov. of its Central bank. And Eurozone and Japan seemed to have entered a perinial slowdown with a quarter or two of recession here and a growth uptick there. Yes Gold is a currency but eventually there aint much of it and those who have it dont know where to shove that piece of metal. As for Opec - cut they might - that will only add to demand destruction globally considering USD will remain strong and since Crude is price in Oil world wide, most economies which anchor their currency to a large dollar pool will suffer the most. Like emerging economies.

I dont get it when people just take flights of fantasy.
