Defending the UAW, Felix Salmon Abandons Logic [View article]
We need to put a stake into the heart of this blood-sucking vampire called the UAW. We also need to put a stake into the heart of the teacher unions as well.
Is GM's Worker Buyout Offer Insulting? [View article]
GM should be dead so they better be thankful they get this. I tell you what i find insulting is their constant bitching and moaning on how unfair they have been treated. Well if they controled the greedy union a little better and didn't let the union leaders lead them around by the nose they might be in a better place today.
The Lending Lunacy Continues as GMAC Gives Out More Bad Loans [View article]
Desperate companies will take desperate measures to get new business. I see GM and or GMAC Taking these steps to make themselves look good on paper IE: new cars sales up loans being approved. Sadley though they will try and hide the default numbers that will come along with these new loans. Let's see what their REPO yard looks like in 6-12 months if they are still around under their current structure.
Aid for Automakers? Why TARP Has No Teeth
[View article]
Gmac applied to TARP but did not have the capital needed. They must have pow wowed over the weekend because now GMAC is offering a 12 month CD at 4.1%. What made me laugh was the attempt to sell this as a safe investment when it's truly a means to get funds so they qualify for the TARP. These jokers will do anything to get the tax payers to bailout their failures.
UAW Pricing Itself Out of the Auto Market [View article]
If Hank gives them cash I hope he puts the Corker restrictions on them getting it. Anything less will become a black hole and the UAW won't do a thing as long as they can suck money from somewhere. The UAW has held these companies hostage long enough now they want to hold the rest of America hostage to their corrupt and greedy ways.
GM: More Bailout-Worthy than Citigroup [View article]
Don't worry automakers your going to get your Bailout. There are to many senators and congresspersons that are on your payroll one way or the other. Washington is corrupt and that grows more evident with each passing year. When you get this Bailout and start to celebrate be advised it will be short lived. Your CEO's will layoff 1/2 of you and under the new restrictions you will get nothing but an unemployment check, The other 1/2 will find themselves with lower wages and your power base will be gone, Soon after that all your jobs will be in either Mexico, China or some other far away land. Why do I say this? It's the American way. You would be prudent to buy rosetta stone and learn the language of your new host country.
Cramer's Mad Money - AIG, Show Me the Money (11/20/08) [View article]
This won't be the only day that AIG becomes the outrage of the day. If and when they disclose where that money went the stuff is going to hit the fan. I bet both AIG and the ones who approved them getting funds will have a more then a little dirt on their hands.
Gm makes a few good products, We have a Pontiac G6 (2006) my wife drives it everyday and when I get a chance to drive it I have alot of fun, good power and handles nicely. Our other car is a truck, 2005 Silverado stepside. I love this truck because you don't see alot of them out there and it hauls ass it's light and all motor. I use it everyday for my pool route. the only work done so far has been oil changes and tires(knock on wood). I know GM can make a go of it but they need to face reality. File chapter 11 and get out from under the mess with the union and local dealers. We'll still be a GM family if they do. The TARP bailout is a kiss of death.
Why Most Americans Don't Mind if the Big Three Fail [View article]
I don't want to see them fail. I want them to run their business like any other company in this country. Who bailed out the mom and pop hardware store when home depot moved in down the street. Same goes when wal-mart came to town . I'm so sick of hearing that phrase, to big to fail. The attitude of the CEOs leaves much to be desired and the UAW which is the cause of most of the problems refuses to buge in a way that could really save jobs. They tell us filing for bankruptcy is not a option cause no one will buy a car from them.I have always supported American car makers just look in my garage. I for one think that if they don't file and get a bailout in anyway, shape or form I won't buy a car from them again where if they did and it was time to buy I would be the first to buy American. Bailout Mania must stop. You decide Detroit, lay your future on a bailout or go the American way and do the right thing.
Cramer's Stop Trading! What's Good for General Motors (11/5/08) [View article]
Like anything people say you have to take it with a grain of salt. What I didn't like hearing was giving the homes to immigrants cheap. How about including people who were born here and are able to afford a house with a reasonable interest rate and have 20% for a down payment. If you lost money by just listening to Cramer then you were hoping for a quick buck and failed to do due diligence.
