Does Anyone Care About Alternative Energy Anymore?

The rules of the road have changed. It seems to me that we are now following the "European" style. You want a bail out? Fine, but now we put in lots of rules. We can easily make gasoline $10 a gallon with taxes as the Europeans do. Our government can easily tax the oil companies big time or nationalize them as many nations have done. That way you could raise $2+ trillion to subsidize transportation infrastructure as the other countries do. I think it is a transformational change that is in the works.

More Clues to the Nearness of the Bottom

I am looking at a bottom somewhere between 6,000 and 6,500 for the Dow....Europe and Eastern Europe as well as Japan and Korea are going to be real boat anchors dragging us down too.

Aircastle Is Undervalued Once Again

I agree with your conclusions here. I like the portfolio much better than that of Genesis or Babcock. I still need to look closer and refresh my memory as to how many 737-400s and so forth that they have, but overall it appears to be more stable and robust than others.
