I don't think all Islam people are happy.

That's why the USA is over 2/3's a (C)onsumption-driven (where's that value) economy.

    And Cn is 1/3.

Let's see which economy falls apart first after the shuffling of the currency (yes, the CCP is doing that also).

If the poor consumed as the poor in the rest of the world, then maybe it would be fair!

People have to learn how to budget.

    ", is better educated"

Sure doesn't know how to budget like the parents! Proof ...

"today lives in a house 50% larger than their parents, eats out more often, takes more frequent vacations, owns all the electronic devises consumers can buy and over consumes calories to the detriment of their health."

  • China to allow local authorities to roll over debt [View news story]
"short-sighted local government officials seeking to satisfy GDP growth"

bonuses and promotions were given out on economic growth.

Also in 2009, I was informed by a govt-advisory economist that the CCP distributed the stimulus in a lack-luster to rescue the country.

Don't flaunt it. The Western-press ridiculed HKMA head Joseph Yam in some of the measures he took to keep the Hong Kong economy up in 1997-2000, never-the-less the USA did some of those identical measures when its economy collapsed in 2008-09.

"The rails were like brand new"

Some rails are advanced and brabd new and some rails are older, but I doubt any of them are as old as SF Bay Area's SF-SJ Caltrain with engines from a Jp company stamped in 1985!

PPP is crud! The reason being that consumption baskets are not ideal (that is why I discount CPI growth-- I recall in 2005 NPR that USA CPI rose xxx - energy and food).

And people I talk with in Shanghai don't expect change from Xi.

Wang Shiyuan, vice minister of land and resources, said the polluted farmland was mostly in eastern and central parts of China which have seen rapid economic and industrial development, such as the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta, the old industrial base in northeast China and central China’s Hunan Province.

He said no more planting would be allowed on contaminated farmland as the government was determined to prevent toxic chemicals entering the food chain.
