"Chinese have suffered a lot from the decisions of the 'royal' families from Britain to Japan"

The people suffered a lot due to its incompetent and out of touch government. If it wasn't due to this colonization of Dalian, Qingdao, Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, etc.

Those foreign elements put a strong infrastructure that benefitted those cities to prosper first!

The weakness of the Qing Dynasty led to Cn's downfall!

Also the dynastic Cn government was so arrogant, towards the world so the nation was brought down, down to humiliation.

  • Apple: The iPad Faces Unprecedented Competition [View article]
I'm just wondering what is the difference between a netbook and a so-called ultrabook ...

and the difference between a tablet and an ultrabook.

And back to ultrabook or tablet in comparison to Microsoft Surface computers.

Never owned a netbook, but I am so dissatisfied with my Samsung Series 5, so called an ultrabook with a DVD player, so at least I can watch DVDs.

    What happened?

  • Forget Yen, Yuan Making Big Move [View article]
"The only choice that China has to defend itself is to let the Yuan get stronger, otherwise domestic inflation will break loose. "

I don't understand this. As I understand: raising the RMB's value, increases the cost of imports and raw materials and wages.

This causes inflation, incidentally, double digit inflation, according to my life costs became noticeable in 2006 after the Govt began to drastically inflate its currency.

I live principally in Cn from 1997-2005, absent 13 months, 2006-now, so I am very sensitive to inflation.

    Dear Rocback:

    What's your problem!

So the Author thinks AAPL less highly than INTC. If you don't agree with him fine. But grow up!

I'm sure SA readers don't care about your difficulties. We do care about Ashraf's accuracy for guidance, bringing what he feels are important topics to enlighten us and discuss. There are other SA AAPL bulls and bears.

  • The collapse of Yum Brands' (YUM) market share in China isn't solely tied to the avian bird flu crisis, according to industry analysts. The KFC chain hasn't adapted its menu to consumer tastes in China successfully or tapped into "aspiration" diners. [View news story]
I agree with you, KFC adapted its menu to Cn tastes > than McDonald's.

It was because KFC was blasted credibly by the Cn media.

  • Intel: Busting Another False Myth [View article]
the point is though would consumers want to buy a computer with such a disparity in prices.

admittedly though my only AMD computer HP was lousy, nor cheap-- not sure if it was Vista or HP or Best Buy.

I love Intel, but do you think INTC is fully valued?

  • Explosive growth in China's SUV market has automakers scrambling to bring more models to the market to take advantage of the cozy margins offered by the category. What to watch: General Motors (GM -1%), Ford (F), and Chrysler (FIATY.PK) could see the biggest benefit from the hot Chinese SUV market with the automakers already ramping up production while German counterparts Mercedes-Benz (DDAIF.PK), BMW (BAMXY.PK), and Audi (VLKAY.PK) are stuck in a lower gear. [View news story]
I just noticed yesterday the number of smaller SUVs (smaller than Honda CR-V- mini SUV) were parked outside the Shanghai church.

As opposed to the Beijing streets have full-sized SUVs clogging them.

" most work inside a browser, so the OS is becoming less and less relevant. As is its attached office suite."

True but when the OS crashes, the browser is of no use.

Interesting the Mac OS a couple of days ago crashed twice in 2 days. Haven't forgot the days when Vista would crash multiple times every hour. Still Win 7 is not good enough for me to stay on.
