The SEC's probe of Bernard Madoff's alleged $50B fraud is looking closely at whether Madoff's family was involved in any way, sources say. Madoff's sons have said they knew nothing until their father confessed. [View news story]
There's more to this story then meets the eye. Where could $50 billion have gone to? It didn't disappear into thin air. Madoff had to be funneling that money off to somewhere. Nobody could have spent $50 billion dollars in several lifetimes. I think Madoff was the front man (and fall guy) for some unknown (government-related?) group/organization.
I know one thing for sure, somebody in the SEC was paid off to look the other way. Either that or they're totally incompetent. I'll go with "paid off".
