Is there any way to short a treasury note ans effectively borrow money at .5-1.5% for 3Mo - 1 Yr? Also need to do something with that money, I assume that would need to stay int he Inv. Account. Would that be at the same margin as buying bonds? such as 10-20%?

Thanks if anyione can give any advice.

Would selling a treasury option future be the same thing?

CAn someone tell me where I might be able to short T bonds (or notes). I believe you can do that with futrues, but the bonds seem easier, if it can be done. Also, how would that work? So since the bonds/notes are sold for discount you would get less due to interest that would be owed. Since the effective interet rate is .5-1.6% for 3 Mo - 1 Yr, wouldn't that get you cash at those rates. I know bonds tend to have margins of 10-20% so you could sell 5-10 times the amount you sell.
