  • Arch Coal: Moving Ahead Despite Challenges [View article]
Upon an accelerated report to Obama admin. from the Rebpulican house, The DOE has approved 6 LNG export terminals. Only LNG faciliaties planning to export to otherwise non-FTA countires get extra scrunity.

From what I know it takes the DOE for a LNG export permit and the FERC for the big OK.

Sempra Energy has a 20 year contract with Japan to export LNG from Cameron, Lousiana and is both DOE & FERC apporved

2 LNG export facilities in Oregon are DOE approved.

One of the Oregon facilities is located in Coos bay by Jordan Cove LP
And the other is (NYSE:LUK) in Warrenton. And I imagine (NYSE:CBI) is able to build LNG facilities.

  • 4 Reasons BP Is Worth Over $50 [View article]
I seen BP's ceo on Jim cramer's show last week. Even an oil tycoon will say words like "I like to bet big." He said he's not worried about Russia or Iraq political instability which may just be big oil talk.

  • Why I Bought Arch Coal [View article]
Indeed, reading through X's breaking news, albeit superficial, The US is imposing tariffs on steel imports from S. Korea and several other countries.

The tariff is on tubular steel products, which oil corp. utilize in production and transfer in oil, fracking, and natural gas distribution. US Steel produces tubular steel products.

Arch is to start coal production on its Leer mine this week or last week. Arch has invested $400M on the high volume met coal and PCI coal mine since 2011 I wonder how much ebitda Leer will produce? One SA writer says $225M

  • Why I Bought Arch Coal [View article]
(NYSE:DB) upgraded (NYSE:X) to a buy today. How much steel X produces or its projections and how much met. coal it would need, I really don't know.

Other steel producers to look at (NYSE:GGB) (NYSE:AKS) (NYSE:NUE)

Noting that GGB is a large steel producer in brazil and I imagine they get coal from Vale or anglo American.

There was a bunch of M&A copper acquisition of late, as they talked about it during the conference call.

  • Update: Bally Technologies Bought By Rival Scientific Games [View article]
I'd say I dislike this transaction. As ex-casino industry worker I very much admired bally and shufflemaster products. I've never seen any scientific games products in any casino I've been too. So Williams and now bally w/ shfl!
Last I checked on shufflemaster open an office in macau.
Didn't the ceo off shufflemaster go to Bally games' then SHFL was bought out?

This leavesprivate slot producers like Rocket gaming 777 and (NASDAQ:MGAM) for america. (NYSE:KNM) is japan and aristocart is an aussie company.

Anyone know about the Mt. holly, S.C., plant going to cancel its power lease agreement in 2015? Are they trying to buy open market rates for electricity, which is cheaper, than directly through the SC's utility company?

It's paying the highest electric rate for a smelting company in America

hey! Read today's breaking news, Leucadia's Oregon lng project got the OK sign from DOE to export. Under Obama's revamp back a few months ago the DOE will not be issuing more LNG export licenses!!! I believe (NYSEMKT:LNG) and LUK will be the only US companies exporting!
