yeah, at 42 it was "inflated" just like other stocks were trading at, eg, GS, aig, bank of America.

To the author: yeah, I believe they own senior notes for the iron ore corp. in Australia. And they recently sold their Inment mining shares in a take-over bid on the TSX. I disliked the fact that they sold their oil drilling service company. "prints money in good times and burns it in a downturn" luk has permits pending to export LNG in Oregon. They have coal-to-liquid permits pending as well, but I did read that a CTL project was discontinued in Indiana.

If ya read their 10K they have small investment in INTL Fcstone Inc., and Cowen Group, Inc., and Jefferies owns ~20% of Knight Capital group.

And I've read else where that a company would buy Sangart if it were for sale.

bally would be a definite buy then. Shuffle is a global player but I don't know about bally. I know they're big with Indian casinos in the States, probably Canada too.

  • Arch Coal May Face Bankruptcy By Mid-Decade [View article]
To Junc: i agree, and I believe you may know that their debt isn't due till '16, with you, but I read arch's 10K report and they said they've been in such waters before; Arch was referring to its high debt to equity ratio. Arch is seeking coal-to-liquid technology.

T.B. Pickens has doubled his position from 1.5% of his portfolio to 3%. He sold some shares in Q1 when arch's quote spikes then doubled down. CNX represents 3.41% of his port. There's a large mutual fund dude who has a large stake too. Goldman sach owns, i.e., 2.36% of total shares.

And for me folks, I bet on the 3 fossil fuels; you can't lose. I'm down 50% but still holding. And NG nor any other leading fuel can make up the whole electric out-put demand. NG plus coal equal ~2/3% of electricity. If it all goes towards NG, the price of NG would go through the roof FOLKs! Minus hyrdo, renewable sources account for <5% of energy production.

Cloud only has PRB and nada on the east.

I'm down like 50% now. I'm glad I put in a spuculative investment. Anyone catch the coal documentary running on PBS KYVE 47 around WA State? They were talking about coal exporting in Washington and Oregon to India and China. Europe is paying around $13 for natural gas.

I don't know which coal company was going to be the supplier but I'm sure glad this wasn't Ambre Energy and Arch's proposed export facility in Longview, WA., which is down river from Port of St. Helen's.

Anyone see "Fracking Hell" on TV?
It's like a 3 hr show and I only watched 1.25 hr of it. It was talking about Barnett resources and how people's life, communities, have been effected by Natural gas in their water table, etc.

that sounds like a losing run. Was it due to the fact that people cashed out from his fund(s)? Dang, if he lost that much then he's not even worth reviewing.
