  • Herbalife rebounds after Mr. Ackman fails to deliver a knockout punch [View news story]
Yesterday morning Jim Cramer said he was hesitant on owning Herbalife as he said it might be a scam.

It's time to go long if Jim ain't interested. And Herbalife's ceo was on tv too, he drank his coffee a bit nervously I'll rightfully add.

so do you have a link of the bonds' pricing? Is it for all of them or individual bonds like the '18 ones dropping or the '21 bonds.

As of July s&p has a B rating for arch & Morningstar has credit rating of B-

It's not nice to see natural gas go from 4.80 in May to 3.77 today :/. So much for a hot summer. And yes (NYSEMKT:LNG) is to start exporting next year abliet tentatively. I belive they're the only FERC sanction exporter. I have always believe that exporting has always been the catalyst for ng to go to 8-10.

Have any electric utilities built any new natural gas plants? If so wouldn't that increase demand? I know (NYSE:http://bit.ly/VCMah6) benefits from not exporting ng and low prices.

  • Las Vegas Sands - Macao Slowdown Is Evident In Second Quarter Results [View article]
Mr. Adelson states that the world cup in brazil had an impact on gross gaming revenue and it happen in 2010 as well. Sands has a bonus pay system for employees now and reduces eps.

Furthermore Adelson states 3 reason to a slowdown in macau link to China. A slowdown in the china leads junket operates to lend out less, a slowdonw in the real estate

Over the last 10 quarters lvs has given back $8.3 billion through dividends and stock repurchases. Sands china has increased its dividend and paid out a special dividend in February.

Robert Goldstein says they're not banking on the vip revenue it use to get. Vip makes up ~17% of ebitda for Sands now as it setup for mass gaming. Sheldon claims that there's still untapped penetration into china. Which I find outstanding.

The macau mall is the most profitable per square foot in the world. And they're still building the apartments and condos in the 4 season casino

Yes, chanos (CNX) short probably isn't doing very good right now as it marches towards $50. I seen him on cnbc. I remember Chanos being long on (UNG) and just recently (NBL). He says most shale-natural gas companies being "Value Traps."

In 2011-2012 he shorted iron ore/coal brazil mining giant (VALE), adding it was his favorite shot, because of his stance on shorting china: Vale's largest customers are in china.

Thanks for pointing out the $1B in cash in-hand.

  • Algorithmic Forecast Is Bullish On Las Vegas Sands [View article]
Hey lvs bulls! Sands rank number one on Fortune 500 hotel casino resorts, and rank 211 of the fortune 500.

Both mgm and caesars placed in the fortune 500 too but both had negative revenue. With Caesars ranking the worst money loser among the 500. What's interesting is mgm made more money than Wynn.

On last weeks bloomberg, there's an alternative bank on the rise in Singapore. Casino patrons pawning expensive jewelry, and the like, to pawn shops. The whole pawns industry revenues have risen to 1B to 5B.
