Much like Senator Phil Gramm, who insisted the recession was just in people’s minds, the Democrats are now complaining that Republican negative sentiment is holding down the economy.
Wow. When I say my daily prayers I must remember to be thankful for the morons running our country. It’s much too easy to dismiss this kind of brilliance. "

I agree. There should be laws (term limits) against professional politicians. They are ruining our country. Just looking at and listening to some of the current senators makes you wonder how they got elected in the first place; they have no common sense, no conception of how to run a business, and no conception of how much a Trillion dollars really is.

Agreed.
Small businesses don't have a chance for federal government help because the professional pols in Washington care only about reelection-- and thus who pays their freight. How many times have we heard the phrase, "we can't afford not to do something" which is congressspeak for I'm only doing what my leadership tells me to.]]>

We have enough energy reserves in the form of natural gas and shale oil to remain energy independent for many moons, if allowed to develop them. The professional pols in Washington are only interested in moving more money from the private sector to their control, where they can redirect the wealth to those who put them there in the first place.

Why don't we ever hear from the API or other natural gas lobbyists pushing our professional pols in Washington towards natural gas as the new "green fuel"?

Maybe they could push for government subsidies (such as for farmers) to NOT produce to preserve the excess capacity for the future while the infrastructure is being developed to replace coal fired electric plants and CNG propelled autos?]]>
