More on the health care insanity mentioned in this article. This week's Time magazine shows how ridiculous the current bill is, A chart shows the total cost of the Afgan war thru 2010 is expected to be $300 Billion. Yet that is only about 1/3 of the estimated cost of the bill in front of the Senate (which only covers only about an additional 15 million people). The professional pols in Washington just don't have a clue how much money they're dealing with.

What really scares me is this-- it's more likely than not that no one in our government (Bush's or Obama's, or our Congress) will take the time to really understand what is going on, and thinks that throwing huge amounts of money here and there (ransom) to the perpetrators of the problems will somehow end the crisis.
