New OIL fields are being discovered all the time! In fact Saudi Arabia is bringing a new field online that is the largest they have ever found in their country! In the US alone.....there is a tremendous amount of Oil that is just sitting in wells that have been capped! I won't even get into the Oil Shale deposits and what they could yield. You do mention one very important fact though....the tax levied on gasoline by the U.S. Government is disgusting in and of itself. I could debate this with you forever..but this shouldn't really be the topic here.

Agree with your reasons. I believe Blank is pretty well known on these forums for pretty much trashing SIRI at every opportunity and giving it backhanded compliments like he did today! Also alot of the negative sentiment is due to the company being sooo uncooperative with sharing ANY information about the financial situation. They make most folks do some investigative type work to even make reasonable assumptions...which pisses the media off regularly.

Oil at about 40-41 dollars....yet even with weaker demand off of last years numbers....gas at $2.00 nationwide avg. regadless the taxes......traders are driving gas prices up just like they did OIL last year and a half. They justify their BS pricing with tall tales they pull out of their standard list of reasons......the main ones I like are...."cutting back gas production in order to produce home heating oil putting pressure on gasoline supplies( total BS) and the recent speculation about Israels fighting in Gaza pressuring Oil prices! These slippery Mother effers should all be shot for filling American consumers heads with nothing but lies in order to justify the OBSCENE amount of money Big OIL is making! It's not all from demand.....the fix is in....believe it!

Oil is being driven right now by pure speculation......there is a huge oversupply even with the cut in production. Tons of it still being stored on Tankers at sea. Us supply has been steadily rising.....and prices here are further proof of price fixing! Even with the strike possibility....prices are runnig about 20 cents over what they should be in my area. Always funny how prices rise so fast....yet drop slower than mollases in January!

Don't think anyone has forgotten.....also don't think it's nearly enough. Audiovox is good for SIRI/XM specific devices. The growth of this company needs to be tied into shared applications with existing and new equipment being developed in order to not pidgeon hole itself by forcing subs into purchasing user specific equipment just for SATRAD. In that way..they can grow the subscriber base much larger.

The things they need to do have been mentioned numerous times on articles here. Partner with Mocrosoft on a Zune/SIRI player, work out a way to stream SIRI from an XBOX while playing a game.....etc. Its not too hard to think these things up....the challenge is the R&D and marketing folks seem to be stuck in neutral. Can you imagine the audience that would be added if SIRI could be streamed through thse devices....and its a demographic they are needing to add to if they are to truly achieve the success we all hope for. Microsoft should be hot for these ideas as well....they have been running second fiddle to iPOD since the beginning and have never even come close to closing the gap, or winning iPOD users over. A move like this would benefit both companies and create alot of buzz.

Some can't see the forest through the trees! I'm convinced there is a bright future for this stock. My main focus now is trying to squeeze some value out of my Lehman shares I am speculating with. At least half of my SIRI shares will wind up being a long term hold!

Don't know for certain that the iPhone news is what is behind this run...but it appears that is one of the main drivers. The street is reading this as positive since there are so many iPhone subs out there and if you put 2 and 2 together....it is sort of beginning to validate that BK will not occur any time soon, and the possibility of more SIRI subs is looming!
