  • Will Microsoft Get Squeezed by Chrome OS? [View article]
Re APPL with 5%. True enough, but it's like BMW vs GM. I think the trend in share prices is similar too.

  • Will Windows 7 Resurrect IT Spending? [View article]
Regarding the marketing - if the Windows 7 launch party that's currently circulating you tube is any indication, MS needs to nuke that department into oblivion before they do any more damage to the company.

  • Microsoft Gets Its Edge Back [View article]
Bing's bling still isn't there. It's still number three with the numbers barely budging.

More important than the search numbers, what about the share price? AAPL is far more tasty of late.

  • Microsoft May Be Able to Halt Apple's Music Monopoly [View article]
This is priceless... And so is the music these days. Just ask any kid with an MP3 player how much he/she has paid for the gigabytes downloaded from limewire and what have you. I'm afraid the meteor has crashed and the plumes of dust are enveloping the earth.

AAPL's advantage is that they make money selling the hardware. If I recall correctly, the iTunes store was only a break even proposition cleverly designed to sell more gadgets.

  • Microsoft: Vista Is More Secure, Third Party Apps Are Killing Our Security [View article]
It's a sad state of affairs when a lowly application program can allow malware to 0wn the system. I wonder why Sun or IBM doesn't have these problems?
