phillies- i just believe facts. i draw my conclusions from them. i am long sirius. i am not selling whether they go BK or not.I am in for the long haul, my opinion (and this is for my own investment not suggesting to anyone else), is if sirius can restructure all their debt(which is possible with evidence brought out today) , the company should be in good shape financially in the not too far future. Car sales are soon gonna start going back up from these levels(with over 1 trill the govt has put on the street). but all this depends on whether sirius can win their fight with ergen. and only a few people know whats going on inside the meetings and in the board room AND we the S/H wont know until there's an official announcement from Mel himself.

global hemp, just because terrestrial stations have begun broadcasting in HD doesnt mean their gonna be a formidable competitor. theyre losing more money than ever. theyre losing more personalities to sat rad. and for music listeners , they still have commercial interruptions. terra radio will be the new AM. it will have some listeners , but will be outdated.

scorpus... with sat rad streamed online , how is it more limited than webcast radio stations? i would think its its the opposite, and that sirius would be the killer. there is not a single radio company that delivers more content than sirius , FACT. and with 802.11n technology, it would just help sirius stream video seamlessly ,more revenue generating options.

siriusxm streaming is already available on a "jail-broken" iphone so its no pipe dream ( CHECK USIRIUS). Having an official app store version should help keep some current customers, add a few more. it would be great if they can promote it in other parts of the world. but this also shows the lack of vision management has. they rely too much on the auto market. they have to penetrate every market that can stream their content. and it shouldnt have been a 3rd party app , it should have been siriusxm that developed this program. the internet buzz surrounding this app is pretty high, so alot of people are excited about getting sirius on their iphone. it shows that sat rad is not dying but def in demand. i hope the company sees this model and starts to work deals with other products that have internet. xbox, ps3, psp, and every new "must have" wi fi capable product. make deals with these companies like they made deals with the auto makers...

dayworker, lets say a stock is worth $1 and does a reverse split of 1 for 10. the new price is $10. if the option had a strike price of $5 and 100 share contract. it would then become a 10 share contract with a strike price of $500.

if they do a RS all of mels options are worthless. prolly worthless anyways.

s162- nice post. the auto bailout wont happen for 2 weeks at the VERY LEAST, in january at the most. the banks getting tarp money are just hoarding the cash ( which i think is morally wrong and should be criminal). as soon as other sectors are done deflating i think we're gonna see money start moving around again. just hopefully it all wont be used up by big companies for takeovers which i see very likely. look at bank of america, they used $10 billion of TARP money to increase their stake in a chinese construction company, and there's no public outrage about it , LOL. but once the credit freeze is over and the auto bailout comes through, if both happen around the same time , we should see a huge boost. sirius xm will get loans somehow , but it needs to happen without a reverse split and more share dilution. THE QUESTION THAT HAUNTS ME IS MEL ON THE UP & UP? SL62, if u have doubt in your CEO , don't you think its time to get someone who we can trust? as far as todays news of geithner getting the treasury job, judging by his resume he was groomed for it.. world bank, IMF, ny fed, the street liked it, he's all about globalization, just hope he'll focus on the u.s. first. we'll see. not a big fan of his , i'd have gone with an austrian school guy.

one thing that bothers me alot. since the Q3 CC , which was not bad news. it was pretty good relative to the state of the economy. the market cap has been cut in half. SP manipulation, shorts still hanging on , fine. but where the hell is mel K. ? why is he not defending the stock, why is he not communicating with the shareholders? he says the debt will be handled shortly, but on what timeline? EVERY MAJOR COMPANY IS SHUFFLING MANAGEMENT, ITS TIME FOR SIRIUS TO DO THE SAME WHILE THERE IS STILL HOPE. i understand the economy is in shambles right now, but it is not a good enough reason to let management sit quietly while the stockholders are drowning in losses. we are not getting this finance deal done with a stock price of 16 cents. who in their right mind will loan this money company when its equity is almost worth nothing? the govt isnt bailing out siriusxm. and SHURE46 dont be dillusional and say siriusxm needs to sell a couple of channels to the govt for a billion dollars. THAT IS A JOKE , who will ever approve that in this economy? we need NEW management. a better idea is to use some cash on hand to buy back shares, have shorts cover, drive the price up and reissue stock prior to debt obligations. and in the meantime obtain financing with a stronger SP. IF MANAGEMENT TRULY BELIEVES THIS COMPANY IS HEADING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION, THEN WHY NOT BUY BACK SHARES AT A SUPER HUGE DISCOUNT?
