I believe the trend for direct marketing is following along in a similar fashion. Look at all of the sponsored links for mailing lists on Google. The free list search tools are also catching on internationally. Lots of activity coming from direct marketers overseas using lists.nextmark.com and others like it.

I'm wondering about that. ETFC has a great service and a sound infrastructure. The recent million is a drop in the bucket for a company like that and the earnings have stablized.
