I bucked the trend this year, having done all of my shopping online. It worked out great and I found a new resource along the way called Sortprice.com that was instrumental in me finishing my shopping a full 2 weeks before Christmas:

  • U.S. Online Holiday Retail Spending Picks Up Pace [View article]
Of course the action is online. You'd have to be a glutton for punishment to subject yourself to a mall when all you need to do is log on to your computer at home. I haven't left the house to shop once, used comparison sites like Sortprice.com sortprice.com and I'm done. With 2 weeks or so to spare.

  • Online Retail Displays Resilience, But Not Immunity to Challenging Holiday Season [View article]
Absent this list is the savings one can collect on gas/parking by staying home to shop online. That money really adds up if you're making multiple trips to the mall. Also add Sortprice.com (sortprice.com ) as another place to comparison shop in addition to eBay and the like
