    The Chinese are astute traders. They are buying straw hats in winter at bargain prices. They know their economy will recover and they are stockpiling cheap commodities. We may be seeing China becoming a global growth engine for the first time.

    Dollar cost averaging into BHP is a good way to build a position in a company that will be a stellar performer when the global economy begins to recover - indeed it could perform well for many years, paying you every quarter. Beats what - 2% or less CD returns? How long will money stay happy making that?
