No one is upset GM pays their employee well....as long as GM can afford to pay their employees well. GM is asking for taxpayer assistance to continue to pay their retirees benefits. How nice, if you work for GM. If you worked for "XYZ" widget company, that went out of business when Home Depot moved in, you lost your job, your company went out of business, and you had to find another job. Why should GM employees be any different? HOW is the U.S. Government going to force Americans to buy Detroit cars?
