I live in a glass house and I am a confirmed pragmatist. I know that my knowledge is limited and that nearly everyone that I care to ineract with knows more than I do about almst erevything. But what I claim to know I most often understand and it is that understanding of what I know that gives me confidence in my convictions. I do ask that in judging my comments only the supported merits of each comment be weighted, and that any contradictory comments by others be weighed in like manner with no concern for the credentials or past ranking of the opposing authors. Like all who engage in the discussion of complex technical matters I make mistakes and sometimes very big mistakes, and when I am shown to be wrong I am happy to admit my error and to learn from it. It is always best to present supportable information prior to reaching conclusions and that is always my objective.
