Completely agree with Bullgator. 72% of AIG shares were held by institutional investors. They paid a very high price to bail out Goldman. Gaithner is now under a microscope for his role now someones need to start looking at Paulson. The Fed guarantee route would have protected a significant amout of shareholder value which dropped from about $180 billion to about $3 billion all to protect Goldman against a cash call of about $20 billion.
