Humm, in my years of trading I have observed one thing. The day after the stock goes ex-dividend, it drops by at least the dividend amount and that's in a slow market. Best case you are in the stock a few days waiting for it to recover. In a market that moves over 5% per day up AND down, why take the risk for a few percent. You might as well just day trade, or buy and hold the divvy stock for a few years and do a DRiP on it.
