  • Intel R&D: Sitting on Its Laurels? [View article]
    Intel has IP.
If Nvidia want's to use Intel's IP, Nvidia has to license it.
Nvidia doesn't want to pay for Intel's IP, but they want to to use Intel's IP to generate revenue.
Hmmm.... Somehow that doesn't seem fair to me.

  • AT&T vs. Verizon: Cellular Smackdown  [View article]
Both Verizon and Sprint have several Android phones coming on the market. Aside from the iPhone, it appears to me that both will offer similar products. Why would anyone want to wait for Dell Android phone. It's not like they've been making phone longer than Samsung and can do a better job. If Dell's phone is just a HTC rebadge, then it'll be similar to everyone else's. Don't hold your breath for the Dell product. It's not going to be bad. It's going to be about the same.

  • Homebuyer Nirvana: Low Prices, Low Rates [View article]
rates could be lower, and prices could even be lower, but didn't Econ 100 teach supply and demand?

Relatively, lower prices and lower rates are good.

But right now, unemployed folks don't have money and those employed are sure if they will have money.

Also you didn't mention tighter lending requirements.

  • BlackBerry Remains Leader in Smartphone Market [View article]
Apple is unlikely to ever catch RIM for the corporate market. Until Apple has a way to lock down the iPhone securely, but then who would want to use a locked down iPhone that didn't play music or run other apps?

  • Four Worthwhile Semiconductor Stocks [View article]
Sandisk, maybe, but they should be getting into SSDs more or other markets.

However, NVDA is going down the toilet. Aside from their production flaws on GPUs and chipsets, they have immense pressure from AMD/ATI which has completely blown by them. Not is ATI hardware better/faster, but ATI drivers are now more stable and reliable than Nvidia's. Plus Intel already has the largest market share in graphics chips and if Larabee is anything but a flop, Intel will really eat away at NVDA. No way I would be purchasing NVDA.
