  • G20 Could Surprise Currency, Gold and Bond Markets [View article]
One of the problems looming on the horizon for the US is their currency being the world's reserve currency. The US balance of trade has been negative for so long because everybody wanted more dollars to spend. I think a real intenational money should be developed denominated in $1,000, 000 actual dollar chunks accepted by all leading nations. and released into the economy in large chunks, say 100 billion (maybe a different level would be good) a month! It would be acceptd as reserve currency and smaller chunks would have to trade between current monies. Any money devauation or revalation would have to be supported by their previous three months balance of trade. and all would be reevaluated relative to the reserve currency. If the money value is great enough then every unit can be followed and accounted for under some kind of system and counterfieting would be minimal

  • Quant Easing: Central Banks Unleash the 'Nuclear' Option [View article]
Remember the slogan.... Never ever ever ever again! I think many of those never evers are about to repeat themselves. The real slogan should be: As long as leaders remember experiences of the past, they will not repeat the same mistakes made during their lifetimes. What are the experiences of current leaders? They have no idea of what consequences their actions will cause! buckle your seat belts, the kiddy roller coaster has been upgraded to super fantastic highspeed thrill and fear inducing ride. By the way; You have little choice you must ride it because fairness says so! Do not worry as long as you remain in the car you will still be alive. If you happen to die, that would just be because it is your time, not because you were forced to ride!

  • Whistling Past the Graveyard? [View article]
Is the little guy saving? Really! I think the middle guy is saving and that is where the economy thrives when they spend. The little guy finds it hard to just keep up with needed bills. The big earners are holding back on spending for appearance reasons and psychological reasons. actually those decisions hurt the economy more than they know. Until those with the wealth allow that wealth to circulate more in the economy there will probably be problems

  • The End of Gold [View article]
I read your article and saw enough belief based idiotcy that I think buying gold today would be a good idea. Businesses are not laying people off because they have no guts. They are laying people off because they either do so or they fail! Businesses do not want to get rid of trained employees. They have to cut cost! where do they go? My business is short of cash. I have not been able to get a loan. Production loan has expired. My current choice. Cut cost or fold! What will I do? Guess. I may have no choice.

  • What Is Going On With Gold? [View article]
If I was in my last years I also would be thankful that the dollar has not tanked yet. My money is still worth so many wants and needs. Since I have five years or more of life, I expect to see a drastic drop in abillity to cover my needs much less my wants in the future. Not only has the people been borrowing for their needs and wants today, but the government at all levels have been spending today on what is wanted now at the expense of tomorrow. Both will haunt this country for decades to come. Time will indicated how right I am!

  • Has Gold Become Correlated to the Stock Market? [View article]
I think gold tends to move as the stock market moves based on the number of folk who keep rebalancing their portfolio based on a preset percentage formula. Since computors can calculate what needs to be changed at any set time period. Large portfolios can be rebalanced several times a day when there is a big move in some finacial area.

  • Deflation, Monetary Velocity, and Why Gold's a Buy [View article]
sensable and logical. The short term gold may not be predictable. The table has been set for gold to soar with either outcome. I think it will be a falling dollar from a weakening faith in the dollar that will cause gold to soar along with most commodities. I suspect Obama will try to stop the commodity inflation and will cause shortages not seen since WWII.
