Bob de'Long: If shareholders don't like a stock, they sell; thus remaining shareholders are likely pro-CEO. Very sad flaw in our in corporation system.

scamardo: Yes, sad flaw indeed. Poor performance and board isolation/shareholder disconnect does open door to activist shareholder(s).
